My Home Bakery Journey Begins: Welcome to Jen's Buns
Hi friends! I'm so excited to write my very first blog post for Jen's Buns. I'm Jennifer, the baker behind every fluffy sourdough loaf, every cinnamon swirl, and every cozy artisan treat that comes out of my oven.
What started as me baking sourdough for my family has grown into something I never expected — a home bakery where I get to share fresh, handmade, delicious breads with my community. Every loaf I bake is made with care, real ingredients, and plenty of love.
My Love Language: Feeding People
For as long as I can remember, feeding the people I love has always been my way of showing care.
Sharing warm bread, delivering a fresh loaf to a neighbor, or dropping off treats for friends - that's my love language. Baking is how I say "I'm thinking of you," "I appreciate you," and "I hope this makes your day a little brighter."
Turning that into Jen's Buns feels like the most natural extension of who I am.

Why Sourdough?
Sourdough feels like home to me. It's warm, rustic, and comforting — the kind of food that brings people together. I love the slow simple process: feeding my starter, watching the dough rise, shaping loaves, and creating fun flavors like cinnamon swirl, blueberry cream cheese, jalapeño cheddar, ciabatta rolls, and more. Each loaf has its own personality!
